Here's a small set of data of one row of a table

#1: 30
#2: 35
#3: 40
Mean: 35
Standard deviation: 5

So if i was to draw an error bar for the mean value on a graph, would I have to draw a bar that is 5 units above the mean and 5 units below the mean. Because this came up in a test, and i thought if i did that, then that would also be drawing range bars :-/

Help! I'm confused !!!!!
