All I can say is that you're lucky you swallowed the rubber end. If you'd swallowed the sharp end you'd be looking at a hole being punctured in your stomach. But as it is you should be okay.

Do you know what I don't know! I was just kind of drifting off asleep (been up 19 hours) whilst writing and........I dunno, it kind of just disappeared in amongst me nearly choking!

Why would you get lead poisoning? The lead in pencils isn't lead. It's carbon graphite :smile:

hmmm about 7 cm's, looking at my ruler, incase I have to explain to my house master what exactly I swallowed.

Have you looked everywhere for it? How can you only swallow half a pencil? :confused:

Also are you sure you're not a dog, cos no offence but swallowing a pencil is the kind of stupid thing a dog would do :biggrin:

im sure the wood will break up naturally your gut, and as for the graphite, its very soft and will probably be eroded to nothing by solid particles in a couple of weeks.
