I'm sitting for my A-level exams in June and would be really interested to hear from anyone who's scored an A or A* for Lit. How are you guys studying for it?

Sorry you've not had any responses about this. Are you sure you’ve posted in the right place? Posting in the specific Study Help forum should help get responses.

I'm going to quote in Puddles the Monkey now so she can move your thread to the right place if it's needed. :yy:

I do English Lit!!! But sadly, I only achieved a 'B' in my mock test So I'm also interested in how people structure their essays! I don't even have the motivation to revise for it, because all I can do is to memorize a few quotes and making sure I know how to write a good essay and compare between texts

I feel like English Literature is just a matter of 'skill'. If you've got the skill, you're basically guaranteed an A/A*, if you don't, then you're screwed. No matter how much you revise for it, if you can't write proper essays and don't have literature skills, then you'll get a low grade The exam is also 'Unseen' so that makes it even harder

That makes sense 😭 now you mention the unseen paper, how does one prepare for it? By studying as many different literary devices as possible? And looking up as many different forms? Helpppp anyone?
