What is the best anime of all time?
Personally I'd have to go with Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Mine changes all the time, according to what I watch at the time.

At the moment, it's a toss-up between Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Fairy Tail!

Fairy tail or attack on Titan
Eh, AoT is overrated. Not terrible by any means, but not the best. Pacing is very wrong. The whole show was basically all training and then watch everyone you love die. Eren takes one step forward, the army w/vs takes 173637282 steps back. Pls.

Depends on the type we're talking about here, if it's a shounen/seinen I'd probably say FMAB (even though I haven't finished it) or Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica

Either death note, steins;gate, Hunter x Hunter or parasyte the maxim. Hard to decide though.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Magi, Shigastu wa Kimi no uso, Little busters, Clannad AS,
in my opinion are all the best <3 I love all of them so much although still haven't finished them all. Mine varies although Munto is always a favourite of mine (despite having so many faults) also it was done in 3 parts so the animation gets better after ep 3 (or the 2nd/3rd OVA)

Wasn't the second season of Tokyo Ghoul really crap though? I heard the first season was good but second was a right disappointment.

Is code geass any good? I was going to add it to my list but I don't know what if its worth it...

It’s amazing! You get the whole ‘Light vs L’ relationship but neither side is evil . Just enough drama, just enough plot twists, but not overly complex or overly emotional.
More action than death note, which is good because a lot of the time in death note all that happens is mind wars and no actual plot. Also it has quite a few characters and you get an in-depth insight into all of them. I find that good because the story never gets boring – and you find one character you really love. ^-^
