The Student Room Group

You won't have one yet, cos it's just for returning students (I think).

Hello, you don't need to write one down. You are given an ART number once you have sent the loan application form.

About a month after sending the application off you'll get a letter with your ART number on it which allows the student loan company to identify who you are. Whenever you have an enquiry about your loan you tell them your ART number. You can also use it to check the status of your loan online.

Where is the part of the website where you log in and check your loan status, because the documents tell me to go there, but when I do there's nothing there for checking the status of the loan?

I couldn't find anything on the website either. Although if you go to http://www3.westminster.gov.uk/studentenquiry/status.asp it seems as if you can check it online, although its for westminster council so I don't know if it will work for everywhere.
