Any mental health nursing students?
Where abouts are your placements usually located? What kind of areas?
First year placements on my course were:
EMI. I was on a ward caring for people with dementia. A lot of personal care, look up the activities of daily living.
Acute. Mine in particular was a secure unit.
And community. Mine was with a community psychiatric nurse, working within a team. Some people were in clinics.
The second year placements on my course involve a specialist placement ( eating disorders, drugs and alcohol etc) and a& e
