In UNIT 1 Foundation chemistry, Chapter 1- Atomic Structure theirs pages dedicated to the discovering of the atom and investigating atoms.

I was wondering do I need to know all this information? Is it on the specification as I've seen no questions come up from past papers of any on the discovery of the atom.

Thank you.
