Debt crisis Greece.

Im doing a question on the causes and economic solutions to the Greek debt crisis. My plan so far is to discuss excessive government spending, loose monetary policy, trade imbalances and structural problems. Could you tell me what you think of my plan ? Secondly I am struggling to find any empirical papers that would explain the role monetary policy had on the debt crisis. If possible could someone recommend me any paper ?

I heard that tax collectors were paid not to collect tax, then when they made it illegal for tax collectors to take bribes they all went on strike. Never heard anything about their monetary policy.
