Bristol vs Warwick or Warwick vs Bristol!? Ah

Hey guys!
I really hope you can help me decide which university to choose. Yes I know, everyone is asking the same question and it really should come from myself but when I created a pros and cons list it was equal for both universities.

I have offers from Bristol and Warwick.

In terms of academics and the department Im in love with Warwick however the idea of moving to cov or leam after first year is awful to me and defeats the purpose of going to a campus uni if two years are spent off campus. Also, I would love to study abroad in America but the process at warwick is much more competitive.
Bristol as a city was amazing for me socially and I could really see myself living there for three years and it's much easier to be awarded a year abroad place. However, quite a few people from my school are going and I just feel this would hinder my enjoyment and the prevent me from developing the "2.0" version of myself. Let's face it everyone does!
Finally, bristol offer me £2000 and warwick only £1500.
What should I do!? Thanks so much
Choose Bristol.

Any justification? Haha.
I honestly love bristol but the department wasn't as great as Warwicks and the course didn't really interest me that much.
Maybe I'm just in love with bristol and not the uni?
Your Bristol pros seem to outweigh you Warwick pros.

I go to Warwick, and it can be a bit boring - I'd imagine Bristol is livelier. It's more likely you'll get to study abroad and you get a larger bursary, seems like a no-brainer. Warwick's rep probably slightly outstrips Bristol's but barely. I'd have applied to Bristol if they offered my course.

Uni is a big place, so just because people from your school are going doesn't mean you'll hang out with them or see them much (or ever). I don't understand this 2.0 thing you're talking about.

Fantastic place to live and you will have a much better time at uni. Although Warwick is a good uni it won't be better than Bristol. The Bristol uni course won't be a problem if it's what you want to do in the future.

The thing is I'm really not a huge fan of the course and after uni I want to go into geography/transport anyways

Hey!!

Well, Warwick has a much stronger reputation. However, Bristol is very much amazing too, so where ever you decide to attend you'll have an outstanding degree. Academic and reputation wise, Warwick is much better than Bristol. City wise, well, Bristol has a livelier city.

I would go with Warwick- because the question is, does a £500 difference really create a huge impact! Decide the one you'll fall in love with, mainly based on academia and reputation, but also based on your own personal preference. Funny thing is, they both come under the posh section, but they're both great!

Have you checked every uni yourself? Make sure you do!!! It is the key result in what you want to pick!!

I really wish you well!

They're both really strong. Would choose Warwick though as it has a stronger rep, and academic status!

Good luck!!
The problem is, you need to love the place you're at AND the course. You seem to love Bristol but not the course, and not particularly like Warwick, but you like the course.

If you don't like the area you're at or the atmosphere of the University etc, you'll start to hate your course (happened to me), you need to be comfortable and enjoy both.

Likewise if you love where you are, but don't like your course, you might fall off the rails a bit.

Although I'd say it's much safer to go to the one you like more based on the city, the uni, the atmosphere etc etc and as you've never studied the course, you may find that you actually like it.

Tough one, but I'd again say Bristol.
Bristol is more prestigious and has better reputation, bristol is top 30 uni in the worl, warwick doesn't make 100 top unis
Warwick and Bristol are both very prestigious. However, Warwick has stronger academia, and being young, is triumphing Bristol in terms of UK rankings. All the different world rankings are too skewed, to believe makes sense. Whatever you choose to go to, you'll get an outstanding degree! I'd definitely choose Warwick. I suggest you visit them yourselves again, and seethe one you fall in lovewith!

I wish you very well!

(Just for others sake, I will not reply to anyone bar the OP)

Wouldnt say its much stronger than bristol in anything except finance/econ. Bristol is stronger than bristol in engineering, law and most sciences.... Just because warwick is good for IB does not mean its better at everything, and certainly if it is better i would not say its massively better

Warwick is really not that much better outside of Econ/finance, for most things theyre comparable and bristol is better for a lot of subjects
