Medicine in Ireland

I have applied to study medicine at TCD, UCD, Galway, Cork and RCSII in the Republic of Ireland. If I were to complete the degree in Ireland would I be able to apply for Foundation Years 1 and 2?
If not when would I be able to work in the UK? Could I specialize in the UK or would I have to wait until I have fully specialized?
Yes you can work in the UK provided you have EU citizenship

But would the difference in the degree structure mean that I would not be able to do the foundation training in the UK?

Its the same in Ireland, you will be able to do foundation training in the UK.

In Ireland they go by the old UK system of intern year, PRHO, SHO etc.

You would just apply to the UK FPO in your final year in Ireland.
