My firm is York which is AAB. But last year, despite getting the highest in the year, i only not 141/200 ums. There were some serious screw ups by our teacher, with over half the year failing entirely- yea it sucked badly... So i had to retake the whole course, and hopefully can get up to an A overall, but I obviously can't rely on my retakes, so I needed both Phil3 and Phil4 to go well. but last year i cam eout really pleased and obviously didnt get what I wanted, so this year I'm really nervous to be pleased with how things have gone.

180 is amazing though- I'm very very jealous! What're you hoping to do?

Oh gosh. I'm so sorry about that! You should be proud either way, you got the highest in your year so you're clearly very clever and very talented. I'm sure you did great in your resits.

If I go to St. Andrews (Scottish unis are different) it's four years and you do sub honours in the first two years and then specialise in the last two. I'm doing history, pyschology and English in the first two years and probably specialising in pyschology.

What are you doing?

Again, seriously don't worry I'm sure you did great!

I hope so, otherwise bye bye York! :ciao:
Hopefully I'll be doing Philosophy/Linguistics joint honours
Oh crikey that's a lot- I don't think I could go through doing three subjects again! Although, I do wish I'd taken psychology at A-Level. Which other A-Levels did you take?

well then again, that guy only revised the day before so it was kinda inevitable! Woah ok that's awesome! Hopefully York. The course is joint honours, but the guy at the uni was telling me that you can intertwine the two, so that it's as if you're studying the philosophy of language, which is exactly what i want to do so it should be great. just need the grades now...

York's a lovely uni! I applied there actually. The city is beautiful. Linguistic philosophy is actually one of my favourite areas of the subject, although very difficult! I'm sure your grades won't be a problem.

did anyone do Mill Harm principle?

Yup!. Mill's 15 marker was really good as well as the 45 marker.

I was up at 6 learning quotes and realised I hadn't covered a really key argument. It's cool, this is 40% so at least it isn't as big as phil3. Although I'm more nervous for this because I feel like phil3 you could blag, and at least for the 45markers here, blagging isn't an option!

oh gosh!! was the key argument one that came up? yeah you can't really blag hume's theories. ITS OVER THOUGH, THANK GOD

Hi!

Sorry I forgot to go through stuff with you on the Hume paper....

I discussed relations of ideas, fork, copy principle but forget the imagination

Free will: the prisoner in chains, smoker example, issues with his defintions, issues with his empiricism and said he doesn't resolve the issue
