I saw it last night. It's not as good as I was expecting, mainly because they missed out LOADS. It feels as though it was made from a five page summary of the book.

I've never read the books so I won't be disappointed then!
Oh yeah, I'm fine - he didn't hit me. I was about to turn right, signalled and moved over. I'd looked and thought he was far enough behind that it wouldn't be a problem. However, turns out he wasn't, so got a horn blared at me as he braked coming up to me (unnecessary if you ask me - I would have driven better than that). Nothing happened, I turned off and carried on. Was a bit scared though.
Wish people would give me money!
Oh, and my sis went to see HP and said it was quite good, better than the last.

Yeah I felt that the film was more just a series of events than a sort of flowing narrative and story if you know what I mean... I also felt that the characters weren't on screen long enough to determine their relationships with each other...
They tried to turn it more comical and the thing with the chocolate made it seem like a joke! The chocolate was from Honeydukes and makes you feel better after an encounter with the dementors and they missed out So much like after the dementors on the train Harry has to go see Madam Pomfrey (sp) and she gives him chocolate then there should be the whole thing about a defence against the dark arts teacher who actually knows his stuff... Also what about the Butterbeer!! So much was missed out
I thought the script was weak. I must admit that Bana put in a decent performance despite the limitations of the script.
Again I must say I... quite liked Troy. There were a lot of really good decisions made in the adaptation from the text. Okay the DIALOGUE was rubbish but the plot ( and this I think must be included when we speak of the screenplay ) I felt was well structured. Overall extremely reminiscent of but inferior to Gladiator but certainly money well spent in going to see it and all in all I think it bodes well for the future ( if Troy is a 'mediocre' film it bodes well for the future methinks ).

And minor details like who Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs are His patronus was a stag for no apparent reason. And they're supposed to have introduced Cedric Diggory (who had dark hair?!!) and Cho Chang by now. Doesn't bode well for book 4's film. It would be long enough without having to explain what film 3 missed out

To be fair the third book is far longer than those which preceeded it. It was inevitable that they would cut more from it comparatively.
