I need English language and English literature help as I am only on a B for both. Can you tell me what I can do to get a A? I'm on the IGCSE exam board. What resources shall I look at? Where can I get help on how to answer the questions.

Thank you 😊

Currently I'm doing English Language and Literature. For English Language I am on a B grade and for literature I am almost at a an A in coursework and I was one mark of an A* in the mock exam.

For English Literature you need to research the context of what you're studying, because approximately about 10% of the marks are allocated to your knowledge of context in each lit exam. Analyse character profiles and themes. This will help a lot. Also look at the exam board spec-you might be able to find out what the exam board marks are based on in the exam. For English Language you need to practice writing structure, content, and most importantly SPAG. Also you need to develop your persuasive and analytical skills.
