Performing Arts Audition for Chichester

Hi, I've just heard that I have an audition in january for a performing arts/english course in Chichester. The letter states that I cannot use spoken sound and the starting point is 'the first picture of you'! Anyone else going to this audition? any tips from anyone? this will be my first uni audition so I don't really know what to expect!

I wouldn't try to think about this too hard. I had my audition last year and they asked us to do a piece of theatre lasting 30 seconds, no speaking, based on the words "nobody said it would be this easy/nobody said it would be this hard/do do do do do i wanna" Just grab a picture of yourself (possibly a baby pic) and just see what it inspires you to create. I was dreading my audition aswell, but when i got there, they made the room all do it at the same time, then we were partnered up and asked to combine what we had. All in all i think they look more at how you react and work with other people. I had a really fun time at my audition, we played games etc, didn't feel like an interview lol. What you create doesn't have to make sense to others, the teachers just like to see a process.

aww thanks for that I'm not so nervous at all now! I imagined me performing my piece in front of a silent room and everyone being like "what?!" so that's a relief!! Sounds quite fun really, should be a good experience! thanks again!

Well my audition was yesterday and you were right it was really fun! It was really cool meeting all the people and it turned out that alot of us had all applied to the same university's and would be seeing eachother again at other auditions! It was successful as well  I got an offer out of it so it was all worth it! Not sure I want to study there but it was worthwhile looking around the place, still got my heart set on Winchester!

Cool, glad you had a good time. I saw a few of the new drama people myself so you might of crossed my path somewhere along the lines since we were rehersing in the coridoors and looking like *****s lol.
Hope all goes well and you get in the uni you like. xx
