    OCR AS Philosophy and ethics**

Does anyone have any predictions for this year?
I reckon Aquinas' teleological argument will come up since that question has never been asked

hmm.. they haven't done plato in a while, and i think maybe cosmological, cus they are trying to make it harder, and this is one of the hardest topics. also; gods gooodness - they do this regularly, but they variate the questions from -"explain the concept of ex nihilo" to "why do Christians believe god is all loving?"

Have you got access to the June 2014 paper by any chance? And how are you revising?

I'm not a fan of traditional arguments for the existence of God so I'm pretty sure I'll be missing out any questions relating it it. I do hope Plato and Iraneus/Augustine comes up.

If you look at this for June 2014 you can work out roughly what the questions were.
1a - comparison of Irenaean and Augustinian theodicies in terms of free will and origin of evil
1b - 'All theodicies fail' possibly?
    2a - different Creationist views
2b - whether the Big Bang Theory is more credible than creationism/compatibility of religion and science
    3a - Aquinas' cosmological argument
3b - Hume's criticisms of the cosmological argument
    4a - Aristotle's philosophy - prime mover, causes
4b - 'Prime Mover is more believable than Judaeo-Christian God' possibly?

Hope this is helpful - it suggests that Plato is more likely to come up than Aristotle, Aquinas' teleological could come up, they seem to like science vs religion style questions?

Haven't they done Freud's criticisms of Kant quite recently though?

    Hi there,

I am looking online for the mark scheme of this question for the new A-Level system, I am been set it by my Philosophy Teacher (Year 12) and I am wondering if you have any idea where I can find the mark scheme for it? I have looked everywhere!

    Many thanks,
    DJames
