Hi,

In chemistry OCR f322, I know that there are different catalysts used in different reactions. These are things like nickel, potassium dichromate, sulfuric acid, and Concentrated acid. Can anyone go over in what circumstances these 4 catalysts are used?

Nickel catalyst is used hydrogenation
Potassium dichromate is used in oxidation reactions ------ CH3CH2OH + [O] ---> CH3CHO + H20

concentrated sulfuric acid is used in the esterification process
