I try to tell my friends that I love them often as I don't want them to feel that they're not loved. =(

I don't believe that being in a romantic relationship should have any effect on telling your friends that you love them at all... One of my friends stopped telling me that she loved me due to her having a girlfriend... I was so hurt by it... I still am hurt by it... I wish I could know that she loved me one more time. Love is love. Friend love is a legitimate form of love...

I love you is meaningful.
"Love you" Is cheap and heartless.

The only best friend I have is my partner and he was my best friend before dating too. I tell him I love him a lot. I have a few friends but never tell them I love them. I do love them in a friendly way though and I'm sure they know it. I've never said it to them because its never came up and a fitting situation in my eyes to say it has never came up but I do care about them deeply.

It depends on the friend.

One friend is practically and adopted brother and so we exchange "Love ya"s at least once per phone call.

Another friend used to have a big crush on me, so I never tell him I love him in case he gets the wrong impression.

My two girlfriends are very un-lovey, so we never say that we love each other, it's just an implicit affection and appreciation of the friendship.

It really depends!

Am I guy, so it would be weird, to say "I love you" to another dude.

The closest thing I have got to saying anything platonic to my male friends are "are you ok".:erm:

It's out of my jurisdiction to exceed those limits.:huff:

I don't think you should be so emotionally dependant on your friends like that.

It sounds like you are because you said, "One of my friends stopped telling me that she loved me due to her having a girlfriend... I was so hurt by it... I still am hurt by it... I wish I could know that she loved me one more time."

Oh... That... Well... I met her and her girlfriend on the 8th of February 2013. I almost had a crush on her and then I found out she was a lesbian, my crush transformed into pure friend love. I felt so much love for them... I still do... I hug them every time I see them, I sing about them, I think about them a lot, they just make me so happy...

They used to tell me that she loved me but then it stopped... =( I texted one of them that I loved her and she ignored it... =( That really hurt me a lot... I asked her why she ignored it and she told me that she only tells her girlfriend and her family that she loves them... I'm not important enough to be told that I'm loved. =( My love for her hasn't changed though.

It's not intimate, it's respect, share the love. Preach the love.

As in asking "u're aite?" - I thought that was OK under the Act of Testosterones and Testicles 1929

But saying 'i wove u' is too much and may invoke the Masculine Treason Act 1911
