Unsure on getting in with a dropped grade

I have an offer for law for A*AB and was going to put Exeter as my insurance choice but has the same grades as my firm. Was just wondering what the possibility of getting in with a dropped grade would be or if anyone has before? Thanks :smile:
It depends how many places they have left when results come out after they've taken the 'firmers' who meet their grades.

Do you know if they offer any other courses at the uni you could do instead if you drop a grade in one subject? My English Lit offer is A* AA; if i got AAA, obviously not meeting the English criteria, would they be able to offer me, lets say English and Film, which requires AAB-AAA?

I already have my A Levels as I'm 21 and I hold an unconditional from Exeter with my AAB so I wouldn't worry :-)
