How much money should I take on holiday?

Me and my boyfriend (both 18) are going on holiday to playa del ingles in the gran canaria for two weeks in self catered apartments, we're trying to budget as much as possible as it's going to be hard to raise spending money so I was wondering how much you would recommend us to take, we'll mainly be eating food from a supermarket but if we have enough money we'll eat out. Also want enough to do some typical holiday activities like banana boating and going out for a few drinks. Suggestions?

I took £400 with me to gran canaria for a week (think that was like 450€). We were self catering too, but admittedly went to eat out every night. For two weeks I would say you'd need a minimum of £400 each if you want to actually do stuff as well. :smile:
