Maths and Further Maths are two seperate A-Levels. I will speak from an edexcel point.

In maths, you do 6 units 3 in AS and 3 in A2, out of the 6 units C1,C2,C3 and C4 are compulsory, and there are two specialised units you can do from Statistics, Decision or Mechanics units. I am doing C1-C4 and S1 and S2 but your school could do M1 and D1 or M1 and M2 etc.

In further maths, you also do 6 units. I believe that only 2 are compulsory which is FP1 and either FP2/FP3. The other 4 units can be any of the Stats, Mechanics or Decision modules that you have not done or are not doing in normal Maths. Hope this makes sense, I dont know if im completely right about the Further maths bit as I dont take it but that is what I hear!
