Histopathology - NHS STP?

Is there any way to go into Histopathology without a Medicine degree? I am currently studying immunology and cancer biology which dips into it a fair amount.

I see on the NHS website that people can enter through the Scientist Training Programme but have yet to see anyone say anything about a Histopathology placement. Does anyone know if such a thing exists on STP?

Also, do you have to exclusively apply to one subject area on STP? I find infection sciences and immunology very interesting too and would like a career in any of these!
