UCL 2015 Urban Planning, Design and Real Estate Summer School

Urban Planning, Design and Real Estate

This is a non-residential Summer School for Year 12 students attending state schools. The aim is to give students a taste of university life and the degree programmes we offer.

Do you have a passion for cities? Would you like to know more about how urban areas function and what the future for cities will be?
The Urban Planning, Design and Real Estate UCL Bartlett Summer School is for students in year 12 who are considering applying to university to study either urban planning, urban design, planning and real estate, or urban studies. The summer school will introduce you to the principles of urban planning and its related subjects, provide an insight into urban planning as a career, and provide an opportunity to explore a live project in London over the course of the week. No previous knowledge is required.

What are the benefits of taking part in a UCL Summer School?
Taking part in one of our UCL Summer Schools is a impressive achievement to include on your UCAS personal statement. As a Summer School participant, you will develop your independent research, critical thinking, public speaking and academic writing skills - all essential for university. You will also gain a detailed insight into the UCL student experience and the range of degree programmes on offer.

Furthermore, Summer School participants who complete the programme will have the chance to apply for a space on our personal statements clinic in Autumn of Year 13.

When and where?
The Planning Summer School will take place from the 6th to 9th of July 2015 on UCL's campus in Bloomsbury.
