Gap year mid course?
Well... I already had a gap year before I started uni.
Is it possible to take another one mid course?
Quite fancy buggering off to mexico for 6 months to marry the g/f Rent is only about £150 a month and you can eat in a resteraunt and get change from a fiver!
Will be coming to the end of my 2nd year soon... just fancy having some down time with my girl for a year before I have to work for 40 years.
Thoughts?

It's probably a good idea to talk to your tutor (or relevant person) about whether the uni would be happy with you doing this. It might affect how you get on with your final year. Especially if your not thinking about getting related work experience during your year away, as in a sandwich course.
I think it's more conventional to take a gap year after your degree, and before starting work. Could you not put it off another year until you get your degree finished? This would probably give you a better chance in your final year, and also gives you more freedom when you do go as you wont have to worry about your final year at uni.

I know 2 people who've taken a gap year mid-course, but both were due to health issues, so there were obviously good reasons. I'd definitely talk to your personal tutor as your first port of call, but why not just wait one more year? It'll go past more quickly than you think!
