I'm a student taking currently in year 12 reading
-A level Physics
-A level Chemistry
-A level maths
-A level further maths
and principal learning in engineering level 3.
When applying for my school (WMG academy) I was given the promise that the compulsory engineering course would take roughly the same amount of time as an A level and that there would be no additional homework for the course. However it's taking 14 hours a week while My a levels are taking roughly 5 hours. I have requested to drop it and talked to the school twice in 3 weeks and they are telling me to wait another 10 days for a meeting with my parents but they don't seem to be doing anything about it. I am right now writing this during an engineering lesson that I haven't turned up to and find myself with students in the same boat as me but they've requested months ago are still on the course. Are the school allowed to force students to continue the course? Are they allowed to lie to us like this on multiple occasions?
