Do carbonates produce more CO2 the more reactive they are when thermally decomposed?

I meant with metal carbonates (just couldn't fit it in). Thanks.

Or is it vice versa? Thanks.

Thermal decomposition of carbonates MUST produce the same amount per mole of carbonate decomposed!

I meant with metal carbonates, e.g. Sodium carbonate.

Sodium carbonate (in common with the other group 1 carbonates except lithium) does not decompose on heating.
