Not that hard? Probably an A* but it depends on anyone really.

It is not hard for me, it is my easiest subject, but it is the only subject I do where more than 50% of my class get below a C.

I think Maths is probably the most useful A level to have and can be used in a wide rangr of jobs and courses. Courses such as engineering, medicine, economics, maths (obvs), psychology (mostly stats), finance, physics etc.

it is most definitely useful - even if you go on to do something which doesn't directly have to do with maths, a decent grade in maths A-level still looks good on your uni/job application, etc. and the skills you learn in maths a level can be applied elsewhere

lf you got at least an A in GCSE maths and understand the concepts you should be fine

That doesn't really matter so much. You need to be reasonably good at maths and enjoy the subject.

How hard relative to what? It's a lot harder than GCSE maths.

It's required for any jobs/courses based on maths. For anything else it's not too important.

I'd suggest not to do it if you got got a grade B or below.
However, if you can't do algebra well stay clear of A-level Maths.

But be aware that even if you do get an A* at GCSE it does not mean by any means you'll be successful at A-level Maths as the step up is vast. It just requires a lot of work, and lots of exam question practise.

Basically in terms of scale, the last question you'd get at GCSE will probably the first question you'll get in the easiest module of AS.

Maths can take you really onto any course at Universitry, it's a well rounded A-level so you can really do lots of stuff.

1. At GCSE level, you should be aiming for a B grade or above.

2. It is not hard as long as you're dedicated and have enough time to practice and learn key concepts (like Laws of Logarithms for example), it includes lots of problem solving and strategy, it requires you to practice many questions.

3. Depends on what other subject you are doing in conjunction of maths, jobs don't really specify maths (unless you are doing something heavily maths based of course ) but it is a good thing to have.

Just work as hard as you can and get the best grade possible, if you understand everything then the jump from GCSE to AS isn't that bad at all (at least in my opinion)
