Contract Length for Postgraduate Studies (1y)

Hi Everybody,

Glad that I found the student room.
I will start postgrad studies in September as an International, but I'm not really sure which is the fitting contract length for the accomodation.

Is there any need for a 50 week contract? Namely, is there a need to stay longer than 38 weeks in London physically? As example to complete a disseration or somethingt?

Are there any onsite options to prolong the contract in case?

You don't have to be in London for the dissertation phase so I think it's pretty normal not to be around then, although unsurprisingly you'll only be able to get advice from your supervisor via email rather than a face to face office hour. Ditto Christmas and Easter break.
