I find it so interesting how much money people are entitled to and how they fund their university adventures.

Loan?
Grant?
Parents help?
Job?
Scholarships/Uni Grants
Bursaries?
University area?

If anything else is useful, just let me know and I'll add it on.
I'll start.

Loan: £6400
Grant: £3220
Parents help: £500 a month
Job: N/A (at the moment)
University area: London

I haven't claimed a student loan so far and am about to finish my first year as my mum works very hard to cover all my costs (which I am extremely grateful for). However, I would be eligible for about £3600 and it is starting to look tempting to just take it as I'll never find such a generous loan again. I do think the system is very unfair though; how I could just take the money and blow it on a handbag yet others have to work and still struggle just to cover essentials. But I suppose we are still lucky to be entitled to as much help as we are.

Also I don't have a job at the moment but I am in the process of setting up a business with my boyfriend over the summer

I go to uni in the South East

Grant = 5100
Loan= 2000
Job = interview in the morning: p but unable to work from sept,becoming a student nurse:/
Area:Lancashire

I m originally for Wales which has a slightly fairer system ,my mum is currently a student and my step dad works a min wage job (i added this before someone judges me/my family for getting a large grant as inevitable on tsr it appears ) and for this reason no family help/would refuse if they did offer
