Body work and minor changes hard?

Hey there! I thought of a new hobby that me and my friend decided to get into over summer, we're really interested in cars and we thought of repairing dents and scratches for the fun of it.. i currently have my cousins car to repair and my aunts car and i was wondering from anyone in TSR forums got any experience? we're also looking into changing brake pads, air and oil filters to.. i mean i recently changed my cousins fiat 500 brake discs and pads for £250 in kwik fit! where i can get better upgrades for a fraction of the original price!

Go to specialist garages or trusted independent garages.....
In my experience, repairing dents and scratches is anything but fun! Frankly they're a pain and you'll struggle to get a good finish. If you're really serious about it maybe get a couple of old doors from a scrapyard and have a go, you certainly don't want to be trying to teach yourself how to do it on a car someone is paying you to fix.
Exhaust and tyre places are notorious for rip off prices so for a start a kwik-fit price indicates nothing. If somebody is willing to shop around to find you, they will also find a garage with indemnity insurance who can be sued if the brakes fail , at a reasonable price. Garages charge £50-150 per hour but have the kit to significantly reduce the time spent on juba such as air jacks and "Windy guns" that means they can have all for wheels off in 5 mins while you take 20 mins

bodywork is hard. But by all means buy a door and have a go.
Bear in mind that getting the paint right is the hardest part and you need to guarantee the job.

i would think anybody who trusts a hobby brake specialist as nuts
