How would you answer this 12 mark question? Btw this is gcse aqa sociology..

"Discuss how far sociologists would agree that the mass media present a negative stereotype of minority ethnic groups?"

You would talk about deviancy amplification+ labelling . eg. Black people and youth crime.


More ethnic minorities appearing on tv shows, e.g. eastenders- Masood.

Negative stereotypes still exist; asians- terrorists.
