master degree in mathematical statistics at Cambridge

Hello, I am currently doing Maths and Stats in UCL and I want to apply Master Degree in Mathematical Statistics at Cambridge..

How hard will it be and is it true that the second year grade is more important than first year? What is it like to study this course in Cambridge? What is the difference between a MMath degree and MAst degree?

I applied Mathematics for undergraduate in Cambridge but didn't pass STEP so I didn't get in, will that affect my postgraduate application? Thank you!!!

Cambridge MAs are undergraduate degrees. As for the rest, I don't really know sadly

MMath is what you get if you are a Cambridge undergrad and you complete the 4th year (Part III of the Tripos)
MASt (Master of Advanced Studies) is what you get if you are an external student coming to Camb for Part III only.
