I'm a man, so WHY are my hips so wide!?!

seriously! I mean, I've had image problems for a while now, but i really don't understand this. I became obsessed with loosing weight, so for a while i've been throwing up and doing way too much excersise. I now realise however that my wide hips are not due to fat or muscle, but bone.

Why do I have wide, femenine hips? somtimes im just disgusted by my curves. The fact that my waiste is now more slender just makes it more obvious!

Im just so annoyed, I know girls preffer guys to have narrow hips. Why do I have this problem!?

stop caring so much what other people think of you. it is highly unlikly a girl will even notice, let alone dislike your wide hips.

Because I reaaaaaally cannot say I've ever considered a man's hips with regards to how attractive I find him.

Above average exposure to oestrogen in the womb. Or, maybe I don't know and it really doesn't matter. But err, it's not a "problem", it's just how you look.

I KNOW it seems petty. I just really think I could have some medical issue causing me to develop secondary female sex characteristics or somthing! Aside from the wide hips, I have a generally curvy body and a lack of muscle.

Every girlfriend i've ever had has been openly bi-sexual, and one even said that she was attracted to my femenine characteristics...

I just think the gender gap is not as much a gap as some people would like to admit. These socially designated gender roles are bs, and causing me real stress lately!

You need to gain muscle.. Eat good food, lift heavy and pump urself up. When your upper body is all big and heavy no one will noticed ur curvy hips
By the way by the time you will get that pumped up body ur hips will lean by the exercises. Even if they dont.. when u have wide shoulders no one notices them

i used to have wide hips back then i was a bit chubby, and when i felt the hips, it felt like ALL bones, now im not so chubby and my hips look normal and they still feel bones.. so i dno

if you've been vomiting up your food and eating little then you may have lost lots of weight..which is in turn making your hips seem larger.please stop throwing up your food :frown:

also your probably doing what we all do and are obsessing over a part of your body that no one else has even noticed

one side of my rid cage is more prominent that the other and I "go in" like a woman just below the ribs instead of being square and flat like guys. I'm a guy btw. Im curious about it. even when i got a six pack it was still noticeable.

Seriously you prolly can't notice it (as in most people wouldn't), so I wouldn't worry but there are exercises you can do to tone the hip area. Usually I do squats where I put one foot out in front of the other, kneel down, get up, swap feet etc.
