Hello All,

I am re-sitting my english language exam this year, as an IGCSE, through the CIE exam board. Before this I did the english language exam GCSE, through the AQA exam board. I have a few questions regarding the reading and writing paper.

Firstly, when it comes to the last few questions, where you are required to write, it states that you're answer must be (e.g. 200 - 250 words long), is there some sort of quick method of counting the words, and if exceeded do you lose marks? Secondly, can anyone please give me a good writing method to revise of?, because as mentioned earlier when I was sitting my AQA exam, I was used to a term known as 'DAFOREST', which was a way for students to remember key linguistic features to use, when writing answers.? Thirdly, my teachers have told me about xtremepapers.com, however this website does not even work properly, does anyone know a website where i can get the past papers for CIE from?

Much Appreciated,

Not sure about all your other queries, since I sat for IGCSE 1st Language and the writing requirements are different, but for past papers, try:
http://theallpapers.com/cambridge-in...nations/igcse/ For papers up to 2013
http://maxpapers.blogspot.com/ For 2014 papers
