Predictions of the most likely poems:
- On a Portrait of a Deaf Man
- Casehistory: Alison (Head Injury)
- Les Grands Seigneurs
- The Ruined Maid
- My Last Duchess

However, it could be any poem because AQA might choose to go with one they did quite recently.

I would be really happy if it was River God, My Last Duchess, Ozymandias or Horse Whisperer!

The top three you listed have all come up before, and to this date, AQA have never repeated a poem. However, i feel that they wouldnt be so predictable to go with all the unused ones, so will probably go with one from 2012-13, and then use a new one such as MLD, Give, The ruined Maid, or Medusa!

Give was only foundation, UNTIL this year where Aqa included them for higher tier papers aswell. I dont know how to interpret their decision, but surely if they were seen as easier then to put them into Higher would be defeating the whole 'Higher' thing!

Ive made a list of the poems and what i would compare each one with if it came up and written an outline of points for each one.

my money's on medusa (if we're very lucky) and my last duchess. i've heard a rumour that give would be too short and lacks enough techniques to be in a comparison question and so it *probably* won't come up for higher tier students. i'm hoping very much that it is medusa and my last duchess just so i can answer the MLD one and very few other people will meaning that it's easier to gain marks. hmmmmm...
