Hi, I was doing a question in the OCR Biology specification and one of the questions was how does fossil evidence show that evolution is taking place
One of the answers was that 'fossils show intermediate forms' but what does this actually mean?

Sorry you've not had any responses about this. Are you sure you’ve posted in the right place? Posting in the specific Study Help forum should help get responses.

I'm going to quote in Puddles the Monkey now so she can move your thread to the right place if it's needed. :yy:

I am only a GCSE student but I know that one of the criticism's to evolution is a supposed 'missing link'. This means that there is a lack of evidence for intermediate species for example between apes and humans. The fossil record is used to dismiss these claims as they shows the intermediate forms between two species that are said to evolve from each other.
