I wanna drop mechanics 2 but I don't know if it's too late. It's bank holiday so I can't ask the college. Don't persuade me to study harder or whatever. Just answer the question.

"Officially" you can't as the deadline has passed. You'd get an X on your results sheet and you would have to take another module to make up for the missing mark. You also wouldn't have a complete qualification unless you've taken "more" modules then you need to.

Regulations permit you to be withdrawn at any time if your exams officer is willing to do it. For edexcel the deadline is up to 14 days before results day as long as you have not taken the paper.

Other examiners may have different deadlines.
Be prepared for your school/college to refuse though and insist you take the exam.
