How does evapo-transpiration cause desertification/deserts??

Hi,
It doesnt cause desertification. The lack of evapourtranspiration due to a lack of vegetation in HA/SA areas mean theres less cloud formation, therefore less precipitation. No rain means no infiltration hence the ground becomes dry, especially as there is extreme high temperatures.

Hi lol it's koool! The causes of desertification are : human mismanagement e.g over cultivation, overgrazing & high pressure systems (the ones I'm sure of ) but the reason why ha/SA envy are located where they are is due to latitude, cold ocean current, offshore winds, relief rainfall and continentality. Hope this helps!
