Classics application 2016

Hi there.

Im hoping to study Classics at university starting 2016 but haven't sat A level Latin . Is there anybody out there like me and if so where are you applying to? I really want a Russell university!

I did ancient history at a Russell group uni and am doing my MA at one too.

When I did my undergrad at Manchester there were plenty of people doing Classics without A levels in one or both languages. All it changes is that you'll have to do the intensive courses in Greek, Latin or both (you have to take both langauges so if you have neither then you will have a lot of work to do in first year - each intensive course is two modules and you only get to pick 6).

It would be worthwhile doing some work on them just to make it easier when you get to uni but as long as you can demonstrate why you want to do Classics in your personal statement and why you'd be good at it, you should be okay.
