So, I'm in a bit of a state here. I've applied for student finance, but haven't got a passport, so they're asking for a the original birth certificate. Only problem is that I lost the original and now only have a certified copy that I got from the General Register Office. Can this still be accepted? I don't have anything else to give them.

    xx

    Hi there.

A birth certificate from the registry office is still considered an original as it comes from the original source. We will be able to accept this.

    Thanks.
