(These are the ones we looked at):
Abnormality:
All you need to know for abnormality is the three definitions (deviation from social norms, deviation from ideal mental health and failure to function adequately), the four approaches to abnormality (biological, cognitive, psychodynamic and behavioural) and the four therapies that are associated with these approaches (biological (ECT and drugs), cognitive (Beck's CBT), psychoanalysis (free association, dream analysis and transference) and behavioural (flooding and systematic desensitization)). Obviously you need to know the AO2 for all of this aswell.
Social influence:
Compliance - Asch (1951) & AO2 and variations of the study.
Internalisation - Sherif (1935) & AO2.
Why people conform - normative social influence, informational social influence & social impact theory.
Obedience - Milgram & AO2 and variations of the study.
Other studies of obedience - Hofling's nurses and Bickman's uniform.
Why people obey - legitimacy of authority, responsibility delegation, agency theory, graduated commitment.
Rotter's locus of control.
Evaluation of Rotter's locus of control - Oliner & Oliner ('88), Autgis ('98), Williams & Worchal ('81).
Variations of independent behaviour (variations of Milgram and Asch as stated before).
Minority influence - Moscovici et al.
Stress:
The pituitary-adrenal system and the sympathetic medullary system.
Exam stress effect on immune system - Kiecolt-Glaser et al ('84) & AO2
Stress and common cold - Cohen et al ('93) & AO2
Social readjustment rating scale (SRRS) & AO2
Life events on health - Rahe et al ('70) & AO2
Daily Hassles and Uplifts on Health - Delongis et al ('98) & AO2
Workplace stress - Marmot et al and Johansson et al & AO2 for both
Type A behaviour - Friedman and Rosenman ('74) & AO2
Hardiness & AO2
CBT - Stress Innoculation & AO2
Drug therapy & AO2
Coping with stress - problem-focused approach and emotion-focused approach & AO2 for both.
