I picked my firm choice but I think I might have changed my mind.

I;m wondering if there;s a way to get an offer from a University by talking to them informally? Or am I stuck with my choice forever?

You can call them asking them to release you into extra to to your insurance choice. You're not stuck with them forever. But if your firm is the only offer you have and you call to ask them to release you into extra then you take the risk of not being able to find a better uni. If you call them just tell them you've changed your mind and you want to go to your insurance choice or extra whichever situation applies to you.
