When using T1/2 = 0.693/lambda Does T1/2 need to be in seconds? watch

    If you're trying to find out what the value of lambda is?

    It is effectively a unit such as km is to m. So if all your other calculations are in years then the decay constant measured in years-1 will work. much like if you're working with SUVAT.
