Just struggling to understand something about the loop of Henle. In the ascending loop, at the top, my notes say that the concentration has decreased, which I guess is due to ions leaving, but why has the volume not decreased further in volume? Maybe my notes are at fault? Any advice wold be helpful

The concentration will decrease if the volume remains the same but ions leave. And the volume will reduce after the loop as it goes glucose, ions and then water.
