    Question:
Water is a covalent compound. However, electrolysis of water causes it to break down into OH- and H+. Why would a covalent compound ionise?

Since the past two years have both been 6 mark method questions, I think that this year will be an evaluation question. It'll probably be either evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of softening hard water or the advantages and disadvantages of alcohols (maybe also extending to carboxylic acid and esters). I'm really hoping for the latter since I'm much better at it :giggle: . Also a lot of equilibrium questions would be appreciated!
noooo not water questions hate them xD

Hopefully there will be alot about the haber process
