What computer/laptop do you own and why?

    Brands?
    Specs?
    Preferred OS?
    Tweaks?

    My setup:

    Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga
    Spec: Intel Core i7 1.80GHz
    8GB RAM
    256GB SSD
    Touch screen with stylus
    Folding screen into tablet mode

OS: 1)Windows 8.1 (Since it came with it)
2)Linux Ubuntu 14.04 with XFCE environment and with Kali Linux Tools

Need a powerful laptop as I am a IT student that works with the following:

    • Cisco iOS ( Cisco Packet Tracer )
    • Shell Scripting
    • Web Dev (nginx and apache) (bit of a beginner)
    • VB Dev (starting to fade away from this)
    • Windows Server administration (Need to use Virtual machines for this both Windows Server and Windows Client machines)
    • Starting to get into forensic hacking (Linux is god for this)
    • Obviously need Word and Powerpoint for education work

I own a self-built gaming PC and a 2015 Retina MacBook Pro. I got the gaming PC for, well, gaming! However two years later and 95% of my game time is now just Hearthstone, so I'm in the process of selling it and downsizing from a desk full of tech to a more simple setup of a laptop and headphone system. I chose a Mac because they're simply the laptops I enjoy using most.

Brands? Apple and N/A, I guess.

    Specs?

    PC;
    Intel Core i5-4670 (3.4Ghz)
4GB RAM (one 4GB module died and I haven't needed to replace it)
    Nvidia GTX 660
    180GB SSD + 1TB HDD

    MacBook;
    Intel Core i5-5287U (2.9Ghz)
    8GB RAM
    512GB SSD

    Preferred OS? OS X, easily.

Tweaks? None really, my daily usage tasks has gotten pretty pedestrian in recent years, and I've only had the Mac for a two days so haven't had an opportunity to get it properly set up exactly how I'd like yet.

    Brand:
    Apple (13" Macbook Air)

    Spec:
    256GB SSD
    1.6Ghz Dual Core intel i5
    4GB RAM

I use this daily, mostly for development work.

    Brand:
    HP (Pavilion 11 x2)

    Spec:
    11.6" Tablet
    64Gb fPCIe-based flash memory
    1.6Ghz Intel Celeron Processor
