I am an overseas student and I will be starting sixth form this September at a boarding school. I didnt take enough GCSEs this year (only did 3 as i had no idea it mattered apparently). Should I do more GCSEs in Year 12 (maybe 6-8 more) or should i just concentrate on my AS levels? If i dont do more, will this affect my uni applications a lot? I want to do medicine either in HK or UK.

If this isn't a troll, you're going to have to do at least 7 more GCSEs. Also to do medicine you will require A*s in pretty much all of them.

I'm not trolling, obviously... -_- But i thought unis only use GCSEs for borderline cases and they mainly focus on your A levels? If I take so many more subjects, won't this take up a lot of my time and affect my AS level results?

If you want to do Medicine, you will need to do roughly 10 GCSEs with pretty much A*s in all of them. If you do these alongside your AS Levels, you will be swamped with work and exams. It would be better if you took a year out to get your remaining GCSEs and then started your AS Levels
