Hi all, For Question 9(iii) I did get 1/3 but I also found the Y-coordinate, would I lose any marks for that?
What exactly was the K question? I seemed to have messed that up...
I think it was question 8 the last part, K < -25/8 I believe

I did this too and according to my teacher, we won't lose marks since we got the actual question right.

Thank God!!! :biggrin:
I did this paper how did people find it
Does Mr M release anything for OCR as a mark scheme? If so, anyone want to hazard a guess as for when?

No it's 1/48 as it's -1/3 x -1/16 which is a plus

the third route of -8 is -2, -2^4 is positive 16, as it was 1/16 x -1/3 it was -1/48,
Okay, can someone just clarify this:

stretch, scale factor 1/3 in the y-direction.

Wrong or right? There are so many different answers, i'm confused
Guesses on 90 UMS mark?

Really??? I resat this year and thought it was harder than last year, although I think I got everything right because I actually bothered to revise this time around.

Likely an A, probably low 80s UMS

It's not wrong.

y = -1/x
When x = 2, y = -1/2
y = -1/3x
When x = 2, y = -1/6.

These values show the y value changing by factor 1/3 when the stretch is applied.

It's correct, since you are multiplying the entire function by a scale factor of 1/3 it's correct.
