    How's everyone feeling for the B1,2,3 exam tomorrow I'm slightly confused on homeostasis

    I was so confused with homeostasis as well.. to my surprise it wasn't that confusing.

    What happens in homeostasis is that the RECEPTOR recognizes the change in water levels. THE PROCESSING CENTER in the brain receives the info and stimulates a response. The pituitary gland releases LESS ADH and the kidneys will re absorb LESS water. When there is too little water it will do the opposite.

    When a person consumes alcohol it suppresses the production of ADH and the body produces a larger amount of (even more) dilute urine. This means that the kidneys will re absorb less water and cause dehydration.
