Brighton is the location of the TSR global headquarters complex. :clap2:

It is also the seat of Britain's one and only Green MP, the marvellous and completely genuine Caroline Lucas. :party2:

And now - with the help of a single Labour MP - it is the epicentre of a new breakaway nationalist movement for Brighton!
    http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/s...-brighton-hove

    Amongst other things:

    * Tories will be admitted to Brighton, but there will be efforts to help them learn the error of their ways.

    * Emergency parcels will be despatched to Tory constituencies (that vast sea of blue in the map ) to help good people who were trapped in them on election day and now can no longer escape.

    * It will form the rump of a national come-back movement. Think Churchill, back against the wall, Battle of Britain, etc.

    * There will be a new passport and national flag (fonts to be agreed) and compulsory sandal wearing, beach clothing, etc.

    * The new People's Republic of Brighton and Hove will be totally relaxed about immigration, even from areas such as Croydon, Knightsbridge and Hastings. :yep:

Please do not over-react to this announcement. Remain calm. The Tory takeover will eventually fade. In the meantime, batten down for austerity.

It would be nice to think that the new PR of B & H government will also administer compulsory rations of ice cream.

Never! We shall never surrender! Nor shall we hand over important S. Coast resorts to mobs of feral Tories. No more shall we give up the mighty battle of Bristol West, which we intend to win next time. :yep:

If Brighton stays Green for too long it'll end up like Detroit. A once great place destroyed by the left.

The left doesn't exist in America.

    This must be a joke...
And watch Sturgeon say that to leave the EU Brighton must also have over 50% in favour of leaving as she becomes more and more desperate

Brighton will stay in the EU even if the UK leaves.

It is an interesting issue though, if Scotland votes No and the 'UK' votes Yes, does the UK have the right to force Scotland to leave? Legalistically yes, but in practical political reality?

(I'm assuming the referendum question is 'should we leave the EU?')

    lol

The political climate in Detroit has been far to the left of most other states and many of the things they have done are things which the left wants or likes to do.

You can look at California of another state which has been controlled by the left for years and years. It is also going through serious problems right now due to left-wing big government policies.

Yes. Scotland is part of the EU. That's like saying that Sturgeon should be able to keep her house in the EU because she doesn't want to leave (except she does, because then she can try to push another referendum as part of her push for more power)
I also recall reading Junker saying when Scotland pulled that line of "we will still be EU", basically "**** off will you be", somehow doubt Brighton would be let in at all, let alone by default.

Brighton will be beneath the level of the Juncker radar, therefore it will escape scrutiny.

Think of the People's Republic of Brighton and Hove as one of those tiny mammals living alongside dinosaurs that somehow made it through the meteor impact and became, in the distant future, us.

Please tell me everything left-wing that led to problems in Detroit.

What are you talking about? California isn't ruled by the left. Its senators are Democrats - nowhere near left-wing.

Trade unionism, expansion of the welfare state, increase in regulation and public sector employment, highest taxes in Michigan, etc.

So they only count as full-on lefties if they are socialists? If they actually were lefties according to your definition, it would be even worse.

Has it made a difference to the TSR staff, living in a Tory-free state?
