GCSE 21st Century Chemistry C1 C2 C3

Sooo the chemistry test is this thursday.. (same day as sociology:mad:)

Who's ready? Any predictions for the 6 markers?

hoping there's something about the earth's early atmosphere, or the changes to get the atmosphere to how it is today (the only thing ive really revised, whoops)
I feel pretty unprepared, to be honest. The questions in chemistry tend to throw me. You?
It's a good thing Physics is next week
Ayyy!
I've got literally every single past paper, just looking through the Chemistry is making me want to give up. i predict it'll be tough!
I have no idea on the type of 6 markers on the Chemistry paper, only concentrated on Biology till now.
Could be pollutants or early earth for C1, fractional distillation, nanotechnology or property changes from polymers for C2 and for C3 it could be electrolysis, processes that form rock, continent movements or salt?
Ugh I hate chemistry and physics kill me now :/
So nervous for them.

I think it'll be C1 - different types of air pollutants or maybe a 'look at the data' Q.
C2 - Fractional distillation or polymer modificiations
C3 - Mining of salts or electrolysis probably?

Have you got the 2014 paper?
I'm the best at chemistry out of all the sciences sooo pretty confident...

I suspect
C1: Carbon pollution, nitrogen pollution, sulfur pollution or early atmosphere
C2: How to modify polymers or crude oil/fractional distillation
C3: Salt/solution mining, dangers of salt, uses of alkali's maybe?

Or Electrolysis and the uses of the products produced by it for C3
Does anyone have the Chem 2014 papers? OCR haven't released 2014 papers yet :frown:

Yes, we did the 2014 paper I believe for the mocks. But I left it at school :/
Ill hope to get it back tomorrow, and your predictions don't seem far off!
I have Bio 2014 Paper, Chem 2914 and Phys 2014

Can you post them somewhere. Really need them since I've done all others
Thanks

I did the 2014 papers in the mock... well only for the 456's.
Maybe someone can share them please?

Link this thread again, I think everyone is too busy looking at the Biology one and haven't noticed this yet 😂

haha ikr. theres no point discussing the answers, it's not like we can change them haha.
How much detail do you need to know about erosion and sedimentation and all that?

i would learn it in detail, just in case they decide to throw in a 6 marker..

I doubt you need to know the process in great depth, I can't see this being a 6 mark question maybe a couple marks.
